Visingsborgs slottsruin
Ruins of a magnificent 17th century castle, which was the centre of the Brahe County. Per Brahe the Elder. began construction in the 1560s and it flourished under his grandson Per Brahe the Younger. 100 years later.  

Visingsborgs Örtagård
17th century-style herb garden with vegetables, medicinal herbs and flowers. Open May to September.
    
Brahekyrkan
Parish church. Built on medieval foundations in the 17th century as the chapel of Visingsborg Castle. Open mid-May to mid-August.
  
Visingsö Museum
Old courthouse and later school building of 1663, now a museum of the island's history. Open mid-June to mid-August.
Kumlaby kyrka
Medieval church with beautiful wall paintings and a tower you can climb. Open May to August.
    
Tempelgården
Gallery and outdoor art centre with paintings by Visingsö artist Olle Krantz. Open May to August.
Mullbärsträden
Mulberry tree garden created in the 1830s for silk production.
   
Visingsö borg på Näs
Ruins of ancient royal fortress: Sweden's first, created in the 12th century and destroyed in 1318. Site of bloody conflicts for the throne.
   
Gravfälten
Iron age burial grounds. The North, Middle and South burial grounds have about 900 separate sites.
   
Erstad kärr
Nature reserve on the north part of the island. The marsh is an important breeding place for wild duck, wading birds and black-headed gulls.
Ekskogen
The 360 hectare oak forest is the largest in Sweden. Planted in the 1830's to provide the navy with ship building timber.
   
S:t Laurentii kapellruin
Ruins of a medieval chapel sanctified to S:t Laurentius.
   
Rysskyrkogården
Burial ground for Russian prisoners who died while captive at Visingsborg 1716-1718.

Näs Jönsagård
Farm from the 18th century now being restored.

   

Hembygdsgården
Old vicarage from the 17th century, now containing Visingsö Heritage collections. Open mid-June to mid-August.
   
Rökinge båthus
The boat house of the village of Rökinge is the best maintained on the island. Each village used to have similar berths where the common boat was kept.
   
Loastenen
This rock is connected with several myths. According to tradition it was used as a pagan altar of sacrifice. Later it has been used as a dance floor!
   

Remmalagen
The famous horse drawn carriages of Visingsö take you on a trip through the oak forest to Kumlaby church, and possibly, further on to Tempelgården.
Runs May to August.
